Saturday, July 24, 2010 ULTIMATE FRISBEE TOURNAMENT STL FUNDRAISER: - "turning disks into dollars"

Host: Type: Who: Date: Time: Where: illuminators fund raiser Anyone in grades 7-12 Saturday, July 24, 2010 9:00am - 3:00pm Fireman's Exempt Field FRISBEE LOVERS: We are hosting our very first Ultimate Frisbee Tournament Fundraiser to take place at the Ontario Fireman’s Exempt Field in Ontario (across from Ontario fire station) on July 24th starting at 9am! Before I hit you up with the specific rules & guidelines you’ll need to be aware of, let me share with you what all the proceeds from this are going toward. Speed the Light (STL) is a student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL has raised over $220 million for missionary equipment around the world. 100% of everything raised through this event will be going to these missionaries! Ok, so here are the guidelines for this puppy: **Each team MUST consist of 5 players (no more, no less) **Each team MUST have at least three players that are 18 years or under **Each team MUST have at least one female player **Each team MUST have a team “look” (similar shirts/colors/goofy outfits/whatever) **Registration is $50 per team ($10 per person) **Registration is due (mailed or handed in) by Saturday, July 17th (make checks payable to Living Word AG) **Each player MUST fill out a registration form (CLICK HERE to download a copy) **Each team MUST send or hand in all forms & fees in ONE ENVELOPE This will be a double elimination style tournament, with prizes available for teams placing in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Games are first to 11 points (win be 2). Concessions wil be available for a nominal cost throughout the day. Special event t-shirts will be available at the event. Please pre-order/pre-pay for them when you register your team indicating the number of each size shirt you’re ordering (you’ll see where on the registration form). They are $12 per shirt ($2 additional charge for XXL or XXXL sizes). CLICK HERE to see what it looks like! Once you get your team together, you will need to mail (or hand in) this form, along with the forms of your other teammates, your team registration fee ($50) , and any t-shirt pre-order money in to my attention to: Living Word AG, 2344 Ridge Road, Ontario NY 14519 All teams should arrive between 8:30-9:00am on the day of the event to sign in their team.
