What format should I give stuff to the CMT in?Text: Copy and Paste text into an e-mail is fine Documents: Microsoft Word, or even better, Rich Text Format (RTF) (just do a 'save as' and choose RTF from almost any word processor). Brochures/Publications You've Done (and we're updating or putting on the web): Please Do Not send them in 'proprietary' formats (Microsoft Works, Publisher, etc) We can often work from professional formats like: PageMaker, Adobe InDesign, etc The safest thing is to save the file as an Adobe PDF and e-mail that to us (usually a 'save as' or an 'Export' in the Menus) Otherwise, it's fine to send the text as listed above and just attach photos and graphics to the e-mail Images/Graphics: The best formats are Jpegs or Tiffs Professional formats like Photoshop PSD or Adobe Illustrator can be OK Giffs are only for web pages Note on Image Quality: To look good on a screen for worship, the file should be medium sized (like 300K-800K) To look good for the web, it can be any size that looks good on your screen and can be fairly small (20K-300K) To look good in print, and image should be a Jpeg or Tiff. Jpegs should be saved around 8-11 out of 12 Quality, and the file size is often around 600k-1Meg |
