God has chosen to use people and prayer to help fulfill His purposes. Prayer may be the impetus that gives a missionary courage to go on when faced with discouraging circumstances. Prayer brings favor with government leaders. Through prayer, God gives wisdom, insight, grace and anointing.

Missionaries have spiritual and material needs as we all do. They need prayer for direction, for open doors in ministry and evangelism, and for strength, health and safe travel. But focused prayer is particularly important in these three areas:

  1. Pray that missionaries will learn and adapt to the culture where they serve, and have God's wisdom in presenting the gospel.

  2. Pray that God will show His will to missionaries daily.

  3. Pray that God will help missionaries in their relationships with their spouses and children, and with the national believers.

Prayer releases God's power to act. Although you may never set foot on foreign soil, God will reward you equally as you partner with missionaries in prayer.

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS:

The Ontario Food Pantry is in need of food items: cereal, cans of vegetables, pork & beans, soup, fruit, pasta, potatoes, macaroni & cheese, crackers, rice, sugar, flour, toilet paper, gravy, spaghetti sauce, tuna, etc. Please put donations in the Wishing well located in Narthex.
