- Location: Room 9 (Associate Pastor’s office)

This class focuses on the core beliefs of Living Word Assembly of God Church by providing participants with a thorough knowledge of the essential doctrines of the Christian faith. The following topics will be covered: (1) God, (2) the Trinity, (3) Jesus, (4) the Holy Spirit, (5) Man and the Fall, (6) the Church, (7) Creation, (8) Worship, and (9) End Times. In addition, we will spend one week discussing the nature of the Bible and review ways to study it. Over the course of the last three weeks, we will explore personal ministry and review ministry opportunities within Living Word Assembly of God Church where you can become involved.

This class, open to anyone wishing to study these topics, is the second of two courses that attendees of Living Word Assembly of God Church are required to participate in prior to becoming church members. We strongly believe that membership is an important step in the process of growing in one’s Christian life and equally strongly believe that before entering into this commitment you be completely aware of the essential doctrines that Living Word Assembly of God Church believes, practices and teaches. This class, along with Church 101, are the first two classes in a sequence of six classes in the New Believers track of the Adult Christian Education curriculum.

First Corinthians

- Category: Books of the Bible
- Teacher: Dan Berardini
- Location: Room 18E (east end of the Gymnasium)

Life among Christians can be great. But it can also be exasperating! The joys of fellowship in Christ too often give way to division and debate. You may find yourself drawn into arguments over such things as the correct form of worship or the proper role of charismatic gifts. Perhaps you wonder, Why don’t we get along together as we should? Or How can we recapture the unity of the early church? Surprisingly, the first Christian believers didn’t always live in harmony either! During this study of 1 Corinthians, you will see that the issues facing the Corinthian church are little different from the ones today’s church struggles with year after year. Here in 1 Corinthians is a portrait of Christian community not as it was meant to be, but as it often really is. But here too is practical advice for overcoming the challenges of life together. Please consider joining us if you want to strengthen your Biblical understanding of many of the practical aspects of corporate Christian life.

How Great is Our God

- Category: Theology/Doctrine
- Teacher: Jim Boccardo, Dan Celso
- Location: Room 7 (Fellowship Hall)

Theology is the study of the nature and attributes of God. The word “theology” comes from two Greek words, theos (“God”) and logos (“word). The study of theology is an effort to make definitive statements about God and his implications in an accurate, coherent, relevant way, based on God’s self-revelations. Doctrine equips people to fulfill their primary purpose, which is to glorify and delight in God through a deep personal knowledge of him. Meaningful relationship with God is dependent on correct knowledge of him. How Great is Our God is a video series presented by Dr. Norman Geisler that will cover the following theological topics: (a) importance of knowing the True God, (b) knowing false gods, (c) God’s unity, (d) God’s tri-unity, (e) God’s immutability, (f) God’s eternality, (g) God’s indivisibility, (h) God’s pure actuality, (i) God’s omnipotence, (j) God’s omniscience, (k) God’s omnipresence, and (l) God’s sovereignty. The class will be evenly split between video and discussion. Handouts will be provided for these sessions and active class room participation will be encouraged.
