Living Word AG exists to transform lives for eternity.
Living Word aims to help families love God, love others, and serve.
Living Word Assembly of God is dedicated to Moving Families to Love God, Love Others, and Serve. We grow in our love for God in our Sunday services, we love others in small groups, and serve through membership. You can find more info on each step below.
We strive to give ultimate authority to the Bible, in its entirety, and submit to what it says regardless of our personal opinion or bent.
We strive to make such a positive impact in our community that if we were to close our doors people would notice and feel our absence.
We strive to support domestic & international world missionaries financially, reach out to our neighbors in tangible ways and serve the world through short term mission trips.
We strive to create an environment where we are more in love with Jesus than our personal preferences.
"In the essential beliefs, we have unity. In the non-essential beliefs, we have liberty. In all our beliefs, we show charity (love)."
– St. Augustine
He has eternally existed in three person: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit [often referred to as the Trinity]. So three co-equal with God and are one God. [Genesis 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; 2 Corinthians 13:14].
He is co-equal with the Father. He was born of a virgin and lived a perfect, sinless human life. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days, ascended into heaven, and will return again someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. [Matthew 1:22,23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13].
He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of Salvation. He provides the believer with power for living, understanding spiritual truth, wisdom and guidance for doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under his guidance daily. [2 Corinthians 3:17; John 14:16-17; John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Ephesians 1:1-13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18; Acts 2:4].
It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, often called inspiration. It is the supreme source of truth for all Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. [2 Timothy 1:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105 & 160; Psalm 12:6; Proverbs 30:5].
People are the supreme objects of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This attitude separates people from God and causes many problems in life. [Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2].
We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting Jesus Christ as God’s offer for forgiveness can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-willed life and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. [Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1].
We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through salvation and forgiveness. Hell is eternal separation from God. Heaven is eternal union with God. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. One’s eternal destination is determined by their response to Jesus Christ. [John 3:16; John 2:25; John 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15; Matthew 1:8]
The concept of it is often times misconstrued, as one isn’t “forgiven of sin” through baptism, but simply revealing the fact that they have found forgiveness in Christ through the repentance of their sins. In fact, the only thing needed to be “qualified” for water baptism is you’ve received forgiveness of sin through faith in Jesus.
Water baptism is something each individual decides to do when they are old enough to understand the “why” behind the “what” of that choice. Jesus himself gave us this example by being baptized as an adult as an example to all his followers. It is for that reason that instead of infant baptisms, we offer parents the opportunity to dedicate their children to the Lord.
Publicly stating that you are going to raise that child in the ways of God using the Bible as your only source of spiritual direction, and helping them understand who Jesus is, the radical sacrifice He made for them on the cross, and the crazy amount of joy found in serving him.
We believe the hope of the world is through the local church. When a local body of believers commits to live out the great commission of Jesus Christ together they can change their community. We see the next step in participating in the mission of the church, is to take ownership of the church through membership. Click here for more information about membership.
